East Geelong Discount Drug Store Round 12 results had the club present 3 wins and a draw from 4 games.
In the firsts we had a narrow win against Leopold with Jack Driver 57 and Alex Inglis 46 leading the way for our bowlers to turn in a strong performance with each of Mitch McGlade, Logan Taylor & Henry Collins picking up a couple of wickets each.
In the Seconds, we had a comfortable win with Will Collins making a well deserved 88 and the "evergreen' Matt Cherry making a 44, just hours before he competed in the Geelong Ironman. Young Fletch Grimesy-Cook turned in a nother solid performance with the ball returning figures of 3/37.
Our Thirds had a narrow loss to Leopold with Matt "Tree" McCormack scoring 76 and young Declan Mugavin returned figures of 4/40.
In the Fourths, we had a comfortable win over Thomson chasing a small target with our bowlers leading the way with economical figures. Sam Ryan and Paul Summers returned the sharp figures of 3/7 & 3/8 respectively with Ashton Brogden and Danny Wilson making light work of the target with Ashton scoring 46 & Danny 43 no.
Our Fifths didnt get away on the weekend, sharing 3 points with Corio as they had to cancel due to a number of their players having contracted Covid.
Finally, our Senior Women have finished for the year last weekend and its the finals for those teams that have progressed through.
